Slipping Service Pack 1 into Windows XP Install Folder
Make sure that you have this file in your winxpsp1\I386 folder.

Then copy the service pack to the root of the winxpsp1 folder.

Then go to Start - Programs - Accessories - Command Prompt and change your path to the c:\winxpsp1 folder.

Run the command as shown above and you will start to see files being copied like the picture below.

The copy will take a while to complete.

Once it is done the Windows Service Pack 1 update will begin.

Once it has complete, say ok and you have now slipped SP1 into your Home or Pro installation of Windows.
